I am a first year law student and a consistent attendee of badminton rec and many socials throughout the year. Having played badminton for almost 8 years including a stint for the Yorkshire county team, I know my way around the court and how to have fun playing the game.

I am a friendly face at rec sessions and socials and I’d like to take on more responsibility in my second year to make sure everyone enjoys the sport as much as I do.

I have made friends with a lot of the current club reps so I am familiar with what the job requires and I know I have the organisation, people and communication skills to be a fantastic club rep.

Finally, as man with self-diagnosed ADHD and a questionable work ethic, you can be sure that I will put you and badminton before any other commitments.

Through my roles as Vice-President and Mixed Captain this year, I have developed my teamworking, communication and organisational skills, and I would love to stay on committee for my final year of uni to drive this society to be the best it can be.

I will work with the Head Club rep and other club reps to encourage membership throughout the year including at Freshers' Fair, promoting our socials and ensuring closer integration between team and social members. I look forward to helping organise social rec tournaments and growing LUU Badminton over the next year

Because of my experience of being social secretary I have an in depth understanding of how the society works and what is needed for this role as well as all the other roles.
