Hi! We would love to be social secretaries because we believe that making friends is an important part of being in a society and we have lots of new fun ideas (drinking and non-drinking) to socialize, make new friends and have a great time! We both love planning nights out and think we’d be great at organising regular socials, with something for everyone. We love meeting new people and have made lots of friends at kickboxing socials and would love to be the ones to organise these in the future.

Ever since I joined the society in September 2021, the social events that I have attended have been great and allowed me to get to know various people, ranging from committee members, seniors, fellow beginners, and fellow Krav Maga members. It’s always fun to get to know everyone who attends. Therefore, I would like to be social secretary as I’d be able to organise drinking and non-drinking socials where we bond with each other and meet new people that we previously wouldn’t have been able to in regular sessions.

Over the last 6 months, this society has had an incredibly positive influence on my life: I have met a great group of kind and accepting people and have made many solid friendships with a number of these talented individuals, in Kickboxing and Krav Maga sessions as well as with those in the committee, friendships which I will definitely cherish for life. Kickboxing and Krav Maga have made me stronger, by enhancing my physical capabilities and boosting my self-confidence, and I only wish that I could use my role as social secretary to give others the same experience as members of this family.
