My name is Jason Cheung, I am a first-year Accounting and Finance student. I am excited to put myself forward for the role of Public Relations Manager. I wish to make our society’s events more fun, inclusive and memorable for everyone.

I was born and bred in Hong Kong. As a Hongkonger, I would love to share Cantonese culture with everyone, whether through movie nights, dim sum outings or fun workshops; I think it would be a good way to learn more about the culture and enjoy new experiences together. Having been around in Leeds for about a year, I also noticed that there are quite many Cantonese restaurants and Cantonese culture-related stores. If I am ever nominated for the role of Public Relations Manager, I will try my best to communicate with those stores/restaurants to receive sponsorships from them.

Why choose me? I was the vice president of the school representative council back in my secondary school in Hong Kong. I was responsible for organizing events like the school open day and student union elections; thus, I am confident in communicating with others and directing events.

If you consider me as the Public Relations Manager, I will do my best to associate with holding events by using all the experiences I had from my previous role and look for as many sponsors as possible. Thank you so much for spending time reading it.
