Hi everyone, I’m Sima, and I’ll be going into my second year studying Data Science.

I’m running for AI/ML Project Lead because I’m passionate about AI and want to help our society build projects that members can be proud of. This semester I’ll be taking a Machine Learning module, which I’m excited to apply to our projects while continuing to learn alongside everyone else.

I enjoy leading teams, organising work, and turning ideas into reality. My goal is to create projects where everyone, whether they’re beginners or experienced, can contribute, learn new skills, and build something meaningful together.

Hi everyone, I'm Sachin, a final-year Computer Science (MEng) student running for AI/ML Project Lead.
I want AISoc members to walk away this year having actually built something and not just attended a talk about it. Real AI/ML projects, run properly, that people can point to afterwards.

On the AI/ML side: I've built agentic and RAG-based tools, won a hackathon building a multi-agent platform, and completed Bright Network's IEUK tech programme, so I understand this space well enough to help shape ideas that are genuinely worth building, not just impressive-sounding.

On the leading side: I've run teams before — 8 people through a university innovation challenge, 5 through a full dev sprint — so I know how to actually get a project from idea to finished, not just started.

If elected, I would:
1) work with members, staff and the committee to choose projects that are useful, technically interesting and achievable within a semester;
2) create clear roles for beginners and experienced members through tiered tasks, pairing and code reviews;
3) set realistic milestones, regular check-ins and clear ownership so projects reach a finished state;
4) encourage proper engineering practices, including testing, documentation and demos.

The role combines product direction with technical leadership: deciding what is worth building, bringing the right people together and making sure the project actually ships. That is exactly the responsibility I want to take on.
