As a law student interested in social issues concerning Human Rights, I have been a part of Enactus’ recent project Hear Her Out (HHO).
Currently holding the title of Head of PR and Comms at HHO makes me no stranger to the skills that this position requires. Through this role and my leadership experience in high school I have worked on countless events, executing them within the budgets that I liaised with our financial sponsors/. These events involved round the clock communication between the council and parent association; and critical analysis to ensure that all perspectives were seen and were to the schools’ guidelines.
By attaining the role of VP, I am hoping to make Enactus’ core team more accessible to ensure the success of more social wellness projects that come through our doors. I want to put my best foot forward and work with other societies within the university to help bring forward more ideas which could make the world a more well-informed place about the current wrong-doings.

Experienced in communication and leadership, I have had the privilege of serving as a class representative for all my years in college, demonstrating effective and persuasive formal communication and listening skills.

Years of public speaking classes and practical experiences with hosting events have enabled me to convey information to groups persuasively. To add to that, my experiences in participating in and winning debate competitions, and a course from Yale on negotiation help me bring the ability to view information from different perspectives and assess it critically. An ability that is essential in the tasks performed as a Vice president.

I believe these skills are crucial to performing well in the role. Furthermore, I have taken on an internship during the summer where l will equip myself with supplementary skills necessary to do this role justice.

Beyond this, I am a true believer in what Enactus is doing and hope to bring that very passion I have for it into every task I take on and truly make this a rewarding experience for myself and the people working with me.
