I don’t see Chemical Engineering as simply a 9-5, it is more than hard work and chasing down the next goal or deadline. I see ChemEng as a community, because at the end of the day it won’t be putting on the flowing robes and chucking our goofy looking hats in the air with our degrees in hand that will make our time in Leeds what it is, it is the people we share this journey with. So let’s move forward together, working hard together and playing hard together. May the ChemEng society be a staple of inclusivity and non-stop banter through the trenches of mass balances and the golden fields of actually understanding what we are learning for once. This is my candidate statement and despite the theatrics of the messages before… I fully intend to do my best for each and every one of you guys who get involved to make the social events inclusive, fun and various. And when it comes down to knuckle down and take on the challenge of university we will do it as a team (with academic integrity in our hearts of course).
