Hi everyone!

My name is Deena and I’m currently in my second year of Chemical Engineering. I’ve been to a few WIE events if anyone might be familiar with me :D.

I believe I would be a good fit for this role as I am an organised person and love planning (fun) things. I consider myself an outgoing person and I believe this quality of mine will help create an inclusive and welcoming space for the women in engineering (us!).

Other than that, I worked previously as an Events Director for a society where I organised events with ~60 participants, handled large amounts of funds and liaised with external parties. Given my past experience, I believe I can apply my management and teamwork skills to contribute to creating successful events.

Overall, I am inspired to contribute to WIE to help connect and celebrate the women in engineering and support events that will unlock our potential as an engineer.

Hi everyone, I’m Vaishali, and I’m running for Events Secretary because I love the behind the scenes work that transforms simple ideas into memorable moments. I’ve helped plan and manage events before and through my experience working with a Big 4 firm, I’ve learned how to organise, handle logistics, and deliver under pressure. I enjoy making real connections and genuinely care about creating spaces where everyone feels welcome. For me, every opportunity matters.

Hii, I am excited to run for event secretary to make better and interesting events for the community. I am reliable, proactive, and I love decorating rooms to make them fit into the atmosphere needed. I do hope the future events can bring the community closer.

Hello! I am Sarah Mohd Salleh and I am a third year Medical Engineering student. I believe my experience as Magazine Club Secretary back in 2020 would be useful in this position but at the same time, I know there is still so much more for me to learn especially within a new organization and with new committee members.
