The Dance Society Treasurer is the financial maestro, ensuring the smooth flow of funds to keep the society moving and grooving!

Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

Oversee the Dance Society's budget, meticulously tracking income and expenditure.
Develop and maintain a clear and organized financial system, using spreadsheets or accounting software (if applicable).
Process membership fees, event ticket sales, and any other incoming funds.
Pay invoices for event expenses, equipment rentals, instructor fees, and other approved society costs.
Prepare regular financial reports for the committee and members (as required by the society constitution).

Fundraising and Budgeting:

Work with the President and committee to develop fundraising initiatives, if necessary, to support society activities.
Assist in creating a realistic and balanced budget for the year, allocating funds effectively for different events and needs.
Seek out sponsorship opportunities to maximize resources.

Financial Oversight and Compliance:

Ensure all financial transactions comply with university regulations and society policies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for audits or reporting purposes.
Work collaboratively with the President to manage any financial risks associated with events or activities.
