As LTT's Editor-in-Chief, you will be managing our editors and writers throughout the year and ensuring we meet our quotas of high-quality Op-Eds uploaded to our website. You will also work as an editor yourself, ensuring the quality and coherence of our publications. During the second semester, you will also be responsible for overseeing the editorial process of our end-of-year academic reports. You'll work in partnership with our head of research from conception to publication, working closely with researchers, writers, and editors to produce impactful reports and publications. Your leadership is essential in maintaining the think tank's reputation for excellence and contributing to informed policy discourse within the university community and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Editorial Leadership: Provide strategic direction and vision for the think tank's research publications, ensuring alignment with its mission and objectives.
  2. Content Oversight: Review and approve research proposals, articles, and reports, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and adherence to editorial standards.
  3. Collaboration: Foster collaboration among team members across various disciplines and policy areas, promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and cross-pollination of ideas.
  4. Quality Assurance: Ensure the rigour and integrity of the think tank's research outputs through thorough fact-checking and adherence to our style guide standards.
  5. Publication Management: Oversee the production process for the think tank's publications, from drafting and editing to layout and design, ensuring timely and professional delivery.
  6. Team Development: Provide mentorship and support to team members, fostering their development as writers and editors.
  7. Strategic Planning: Contribute to long-term strategic planning for the think tank by participating in our general meetings.
