• Responsible for team organisation including: coordinating training, matchday arrangements, team selection.
• Complete and submit matchsheets for all fixtures (done on BUCS play for Wednesday fixtures).
• Responsible for collecting match fees.
• Paying umpires for home fixtures.
• Represent the team on matchdays.
• Organising social arrangements for their team, such as pre-drinks.
• Assist in running Fresher’s Trials.
• Help out at Fresher’s Fair.
• Be a figurehead for the team at all times.
• Ensure the team’s matchday balls are not lost. 
• Attend all committee meetings and any union-led compulsory workshops or meetings.

The responsibilities of the weekend hockey captains/vice-captains are as follows:

• Team selection
• Organising drivers for away fixtures.
• Completing matchsheets and submitting them to the league rep.
• Welcome the opposition on match days.
• Paying umpires for home games

Note -  Weekend 1s Captaincy shared between 2nd/3rd XI captains. 

Weekend 2s Captaincy shared between 4th/5th XI captains.
