Hi there, I’m Tom and I’m in my first year of Uni at Leeds studying Biosciences.
I’ve been part of the BPM society for the past year and have absolutely loved going to the open decks, the brilliant BPM socials and attending all the events that the society sends out each week. I would love to be a part of the BPM committee and contribute to the society that I have got so much from this year.
I’m very passionate about electronic music and DJing, which is one of the reasons why I chose Leeds in the first place because the music scene here is so good. BPM has allowed me to pursue this passion, giving me opportunities such as DJing at DVOTION and DJing on the student radio. This has been amazing considering before coming to Uni I had never even touched a set of CDJs.
If I was elected as treasurer, I would make sure all the societies finances are in order as I want to help ensure the society has the financial stability to keep hosting great events and opportunities for members. I am highly organised and reliable. I have experience with budgeting and tracking expenses for example when I was travelling for 9 months, working along the way and tracking all my spending. I would be confident managing income and costs for events and memberships, ensuring clear records are always kept.
Overall, I would love the opportunity to give back to BPM as treasurer so we can continue creating the incredible events and opportunities that make it such a special society.
