If elected my main aim will be to ensure everyone enjoys their respective sports and gets the most out of being a member of a society.
I will allocate funds effectively and fairly whilst giving every sports society the opportunity to grow and develop.
Furthermore, I will communicate effectively with the activities manager and committee members to provide guidance when needed.
I will also aim to provide a platform for societies to gain more recognition and help the size of the sport increase across campus.

I'm Connor, 19, He/Him, despite only going into 2nd year in September, I find myself to be the perfect candidate for this position.
Although there is quite often a large debate whether darts is actually a 'sport', there isn't much debate on why I shouldn't be elected for the position of Sports Rep.
Going into second year, I already have an overwhelming amount of leadership experience, course rep for Y1, public speaking national champion X2, and a Yorkshire Youth County Darts player.
Prior to coming to Leeds, I was Kent's #1 youth darts player and ranked number 1 in Southern England rankings. Not too bad if I say so myself.
I'm very openly down to earth, dedicated to the student voice & want to see the necessary improvements being made.
I will always only be an email away should I get this position.
My pledges for this position:
- Weekly to bi-weekly emails for Society committee members with a feedback form for feedback to be gathered and dealt with. This feedback can range from memberships to funding or even on how I'm doing in my role.
- Putting 180% into representing ALL sports societies within the university equally. This includes the gryphon awards.
- I will attend all societies once or twice a term to speak to society members and discuss ways to improve interest in your society.
- As I am a photographer, all sports societies will get the opportunity to have photos of their society taken by myself which they can then use to promote their society.
- A night to remember at the Gryphon Colour awards.
