Hi everyone! I’m Maharani, an (hopefully) incoming third year architectural engineering student. Before studying in Leeds, I was mostly raised in Saudi Arabia and attended an international school there, but I’m really from Indonesia. I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible!

I’ve been a part of the Indonesian Students’ Association’s (better known as PPI Greater Leeds) sociocultural team, where we were responsible for the Indonesian Cultural Arts Festival as well as our performance for the World Unite Festival. Though I may just have been a team member, I’d like to apply my experience and skills to the Events Secretary role. I plan to cater events to the members and span across as many STEM schools as possible, with an emphasis on engineering. Some I aim to continue include MatLab workshops and socials, taking inspiration from the International Potluck and Galentines’ Sip & Solve. I hope to introduce some events such as an arts & crafts night and collaborate with the Professional Outreach Officer for a WIE-wide career dinner.
