Salam, everyone!! I’m Isra and I am excited to run for General Secretary for the new academic year.

I am someone who likes to keep things relaxed whilst still being able to run everything smoothly. I am naturally organised (I mean, I am a medic I have no choice) and I would love to be planning events, making things happen and supporting the rest of the team. Whether its keeping meetings on track with solid notes or sorting out venues, I’m always happy to help out wherever I’m needed.

This year, I have had the chance to truly connect with society and its has been such a wholesome experience. The sudanese society is a home away from home and I have shared so many wonderful memories with everyone. It’s a space full of laughter,meaningful connections and a real sense of belonging. I hope that next year, I can continue building on this and help make this society a place where people feel welcomed and excited to share and learn more about the sudanese culture.
