A message from Izzy and Kim:

Heyy girlies, Izzy and Kim here live and direct to talk to you about our ideas for next year if we get your vote for Social Secs.
Being approachable and world class yappers is an essential part of this role; we are both very committed to making the new freshers feel as welcomed and involved as Bella and Poppy have throughout this year. We both remember the start of the year and how integrated we felt in such a short space of time; this made the world of difference to our sports nights (especially in comparison to some of the horror stories we have heard from other societies).
Having witnessed the organisation and preparation these socials take; we have gained so much respect for current our Social Secs and this is what inspired us into taking on this role together. Looking back on this years’ socials we believe we would be amazing at this job and would be honoured to follow in the Poppy and Bella’s footsteps.

Here are some ideas we have cooked up:
1. A Mr Worldwide social (bald caps mandatory)
2. A 101 dalmatians social (101 freshers)
3. More sober socials (e.g. fulfilling our dreams of trampoline parking and paintballing)
4. More house to house socials in Sem 2 (we will be living around the corner from each other, so many house options 😉)

Obviously, these aren’t our only ideas for the upcoming year, and we plan on including everyone’s ideas in order to make it the most fun year for us ALL. When discussing running for Social Secs, we have spoken about how we would take our responsibilities seriously, and we would both be dedicated to making the behind the scenes of these socials as smooth-running as possible.
As a very responsible and goal-oriented duo we would focus on the important tasks at hand such as liaising with clubs/bars and sorting out sponsorships (we love a good business call/email).
We both love freestyle endlessly and want to take the best societies' socials even better with your help. By becoming Social Secs we would get the opportunity to show you guys how much we enjoy going out as a freestyler and how much we appreciate you all who choose to turn up and get plastered.

In conclusion, we would like to say from your resident north-south baddie duo that as Social Secs we will not disappoint. We plan on keeping the fun light-hearted spirit of Bella and Poppy while also cracking on with what needs to be done.

Hello Freestylers 3,

I'm SO exited to running for your social secretary for next year alongside the queen herself, Kim Costa. I love Wednesdays nights biblically. Real talk, I think I say most weeks 'I'm not going to mischief' and I'm always there, it's borderline concerning (but not as concerning as how often I get lost in Mischief). Either way, I feel very strongly about socials this is why I really want to make them as good as possible and in my opinion the best way to do this is for me (and Kim) to be in charge of them. I'm also a very approachable person and kind when necessary, but I'm not afraid to raise my voice and take control (when people don't listen to me I turn into my Scouse mother, not even joking). I'm also very organised so communicating with clubs and getting discounts etc. is not a concern for me. SO, in conclusion there no better better choice than me and Kim, I fear. please vote wisely and I LOVE YOU ALL XXXX

From your future Social Secs (or so we hope 😉)

Hey Freestyle!!!! I am running to be social sec with Lydia for next year. I cannot imagine having done first year without joining a society, specifically Freestyle. I have made the most amazing friends through this society and the best memories!! A lot of my favourite memories come from Wednesday nights, which is why I want to be one of your social secs (also for the t-shirt x). Sports night is what gets me through my lectures during the week, and I cannot imagine a Wednesday night where I don’t dress up in the weirdest costumes, hence my 100% Mischief attendance. Freestyle has been the most welcoming society, and I hope for the new freshers to feel the same way I felt when I first joined. A great way to ensure this happens is through sober socials, where everyone can get to know each other without the pressure of drinking and fighting for a Mischief code!

Lydia and I are living together next year, making socials easy to plan, as well as us being able to provide a space for pres. That being said, Dry Dock and Revs have our hearts, so we want to continue holding pres there as well. I think I would be great for this role because I am organised and would never say no to a night out! I’d like to think I am a very fun and approachable person and just want the freshers (and returners) to have the best time next year.

The themes this year have been so funny, and we want to continue with the high standard, making the freshers complete lots of challenges and dress stupidly. Some of our social theme ideas for next year include:
- Freestyle sports day
- Amy wine-hands
- Mario Kart
Alongside these themes, we want to run a secret social to an unknown location, a freestyle otley run, and a karaoke night. We would also love to plan the Christmas dinner and the freestyle finale! I have quite a few friends going for social sec in other societies, meaning joint socials can be organised, as well as having connections to some of the Mischief managers and being a rep for fresh2death, hopefully meaning we can sort out some good deals for you! I also wish to ensure that we all stay together in Mischief because I always get lost :(

We both have so much love for Freestyle, with it being more important to me than my degree, and I cannot imagine Leeds without it. My dedication to Freestyle started when I lost my ID about a month into uni but refused to miss a social, so I had my old fake ID sent up which then got taken from me at Revs :( I hope to create the same environment next year with everybody afraid to miss a social, so vote for me and Lydia if you want some unforgettable Wednesday nights!! 33

Hi freestylers, I am running to be your social sec for next year alongside Beth!! To think how differently my first year would’ve been if I hadn’t joined freestyle is crazy. I personally believe there is no better way to bond with people than to be forced to do stupid challenges wearing stupid clothes and I have made some amazing friends whilst doing so! Joining a society can be so daunting but ever since my first social with freestyle I felt so welcome and comfortable, and Beth and I want to guarantee that the freshers next year get as much of an amazing experience as we did. For this reason, I would love to be your social sec next year and with Beth and I living together next year we will have lots of time to think up some amazing socials for you all ;)

My key strengths for this role are quite self-explanatory but going out on a Wednesday is without a doubt the highlight of my week and I have been to mischief (almost) every single week. Despite seeming feral on a Wednesday, I am equally approachable and welcoming and want to make everyone feel comfortable. Beth and I work well together and can assure we will keep on top everything from socials to booking venues.
This year we have lots of exciting socials in mind which will ofc take us to dry dock, revs and mischief the star of the show. Some of these include
- Freestyle sports day
- Red flags social
- Easter scavenger hunt
- Mario kart

Not only this but we hope this year we can organise both an Otley run and a secret social to an unknown destination!!!!As much as Beth and I love a drink we equally think sober socials are amazing bonding experiences especially for freshers new to the society. We would love to take your ideas on board as well to make sure we offer you the opportunity to build great relationships within the society!!!!

Most importantly Beth and I have so much love for freestyle and it would be an honour to be your social secs next year 33 Vote for us if u want to have Wednesdays to remember next year ;)
