Hi there, my name is Basil!! :D

I have developed a great interest in neurology this past year as a Year 2 student, and want to take the next step by assisting Brain Leeds in its mission to help provide education and inspire the next generation of neurologists/neurosurgeons.

I believe I would thrive in this role, since I am a team player when it comes to making a decision, meaning I would take ever ones opinion regarding our charity of focus in the year of 2024-2025. I am someone who is readily available, and who goes out of their way to provide support (which I displayed for Leeds Malayalam Society by assisting committee members with closing operations for the Onam festival).

I have also been impressed with the various charity fundraiser events of other societies, but released that they follow a common theme of Bake sales and min-lotteries, which I agree are good don't get me wrong. However, I think we could incorporate some more different approaches such as a 'quiz' show, charity runs, sending a team towards our chosen charity to support them in their events, and who knows maybe a dance battle?!

I want to assure you that I will commit myself to not only my role but also support the running of Brain Leeds and their other teaching sessions/conferences, along with being a point of contact to anyone who is or is not a Brain Leeds member to show them what Brain Leeds is all about.
