I am a second year Communication and Media Student, either going to do placement in Leeds next year or heading into third year!
I love writing. So much. For me this society has saved me beyond allowing me to creatively express myself- it also has helped me make friends and make my time at uni so special.
I want to be your Treasurer, as after being President in 2021/2022, I feel I know what financial needs are required for the society, I understand how to accept expenses and make expenses, and I also know how to budget around merch, freshers fair, and socials!
I would love to continue my work on accessibility from Presidency into this role. I will work with the committee to provide scholarship places for students who may need them, and will continue to strive towards either free merchandise for our members, or subsidised merch. Womxn in the media struggle enough as it is. I want to break down any barriers students might face.
I am confident, bubbly, and proactive, willing to help out wherever is needed, even if it is beyond the constraints of my role.
A career in journalism or PR is what I strive for when I’m older. I feel knowing more about finances will make me a more well-rounded, knowledgeable individual.
