Hi everyone! I’m Morgan, and I’m running for the role of Practice Manager.

I started out doing ballet as a kid… but let’s just say I wasn’t quite destined for the Royal Ballet! Thankfully, I found my rhythm in Scottish dancing instead and I haven’t looked back since. With a family full of proud Scots, celebrating Burns Night (complete with a dramatic Address to a Haggis, of course) has always been a yearly tradition.

As Practice Manager, my goal is to make CalSoc as fun and accessible as possible for everyone. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just stepping onto the ceilidh floor for the first time, I want practices to feel welcoming, clear, and exciting. That means easy to follow teaching, trying out lots of new dances, and sharing the routines the day before each session so newcomers can feel confident and prepared.

Hello! I am Pollyanna and I would love to be one of Cal Soc's practice manager's next year!

I have trained at a high level in ballet and contemporary dance for many years, instilling in me a deep passion and love for dancing. Dancing socially through Calsoc has been the highlight of first year, and I am lucky enough to have made many of my best friends at the society.

I would love to be practice manager for many reasons. Firstly, because I can use my strong background in dance to teach reels and ceilidh dances. But most of all because I am a very smiley person and would love to create a happy environment at practices. I've seen the lovely community that can be created from learning these dances together, and I'd love to help teach some so that everyone can enjoy Cal Soc as much as we all have this year!
