Hi I’m Riya and I’m a 2nd year business management student and would love to be your publicity and social media secretary!

Last year I attended the yoga retreat by myself with no experience or having attended any classes with no expectations, I was greeted with people in the same boat and everyone was just so lovely, warm and welcoming! there was no pressure whatsoever and I found myself drawn to the kundalini class which I continued back in leeds on a friday!
A common myth about yoga is that you have to be flexible or there being one specific sort of yoga and I aim to break down these stereotypes showing that is is accessible to everyone and using the power of social media to spread the importance and benefits of yoga and educating/sharing knowledge about the beauty and origins of yoga as well as the amazing benefits that come with practicing it! I will also aim to keep updating links with helpful resources and promote our inclusive and safe environment. As your publicity and social media manager I would like to spread more representation and awareness on other platforms and aim to expand this onto facebook and possibly tiktok too to widen our audiences :)

Yoga has been mental health game changer for me, struggling with stress and anxiety, it has truly changed my inner state and transformed my mindset in the most postive way through practices and implementing into my daily routine and would love to see more people join this society!
