PGRs form a large and vital community at Leeds, yet we have historically been underrepresented within the LUU. This year, for the first time, postgraduate researchers will have a dedicated voice through the PGR Trustee position.

Charlotte and I are running a combined and aligned campaign because we share the same message: the LUU should work for postgraduates just as it does for undergraduates. We want to be in the room to help make that happen.

We will ensure postgraduates are consistently represented and actively consulted in Students Union affairs. We understand the shared challenges of the PGR experience and will advocate for the unique issues faced across different research disciplines.

Our aims are to raise awareness of the PGR experience, increase the visibility of postgraduates, and expand opportunities for connection and engagement. The PGR Trustee will advocate for the PGR community and strengthen communication so that PGR voices are heard at every level of the Union.

We only need one of us through the door - but every vote is a win, helping ensure that PGR voices are finally represented.
