Kickboxing can feel intimidating, but since joining I’ve always felt supported by the society, who have taken the fear out of sparring and competing. I want everyone to feel this support, so that all members can push themselves in a positive environment.

I’ll ensure I’m approachable for members to discuss any issues or concerns. I study psychology, so I consider myself good at listening to people in a nonjudgmental way. Before university I worked for the Civil Service, so I’ve got lots of experience working with people and will help the coaching staff and committee build an even more positive club.

Hello! My name is Evie and I would love to be your welfare secretary. It’s my first year at the club and I’ve already had so many great experiences, my favourite being helping out at UKC 2024. It was great to see the passion everyone has for the club (and watch our amazing fighters of course). I think I would make a good welfare secretary because I like to believe I am a friendly and approachable person and I have plenty of experience with organisation. I would love to continue Leah and Kezia’s work making the club a more inclusive place with the all girls sessions, and encourage more people to get involved in socials to create stronger friendships within the society.
