Although the role of social sec is seen as a more relaxed role within the committee, it is far from that. This role needs key organisation, a role model for the club and someone to ensure the safety of the team on a night out. Even with all this, it is one of the most fun positions within the club. You will be tasked with organising not only socials, but other events like the races, Super Bowl and of course Tour. On top of this, you will be able to branch out your network of managers for clubs, bars and event companies who will be with you to help out for socials. This year, me and Tom have gone above and beyond to ensure that the team has a great social life, reaching out to new events such as Fresh2Death which has been a hit within the team. This paired with the success of the secret social and soon to be tour ensures that the role of social sec is high up in the committee ladder!
