I would like to nominate myself for the position of secretary

Coming into my fifth and final year on the team I want to take on more responsibility in the club and I believe my experience on the team and passion to drive the team forwards makes me suitable for this role. Having been through the highest highs and lowest lows of the team over the past few years I would love to be a part of making next season one for the Gryphons history books and make it the most successful of my time at Leeds.

As secretary, I would ensure I work closely with the other members of the Top 3 to establish solid foundations for the rest of the committee to be in a good position to see success in their respective roles. I would also like to make this role more involved by helping organise and contribute to team initiatives such as bouncing ideas off social media secs, helping drive recruitment and generally supporting any committee member in their role should they need it. Over the past few years I have had many ideas for improvements for the club (as Adam Knight can probably confirm from our endless discussions) which I would love to bring into reality, however I equally value the ideas of the wider team and would love to see everyone given the opportunity to be involved in helping improve the club through suggestions and feedback.

Having just undertaken a placement year, I have developed invaluable organisational and communication skills which would bring great value when applied to the Secretary role. Alongside this, my previous involvement in the committee and team has provided me with insights into some of what goes on behind the scenes.

As I enter my final year with the Gryphons, I am grateful for the memories and friendships that this team has given me. I see running for Secretary as an opportunity to give back to a team that has played such a significant role in shaping my time at Leeds.

Having spent a year as welfare secretary, I now believe I understand better the workings of the club and now plan to take a step up into a more important role within the committee. I will be well suited to the role of secretary because I am hard working, proactive and above all want to take this club to an even better place than it is already in.

Additionally, with the relative success of the team dinner at Nazam's, I am confident that I would be able to organise the Old Boy's and hope that you all feel the same.

Overall I think that I would be a great fit for the role as Secretary and I am keen to take on this responsibility in my 3rd year on the team.
