You're in charge of the finances of the society, checking all money coming in and out, processing payments from other members and most importantly you are responsible for making sure that people pay what they owe to the club. It really doesn't take any particular financial skill just have to be an able and reliable person. As part of "top 3" you're also part of the wider decision making, having a direct input on decisions made society wide. You'll also have to support other members if they need help. I highly recommend going for a committee position as it really makes you more involved in the society and I have zero regrets personnaly. But you do have to be reliable about doing things properly and on time.
