The Treasurer of Leeds Policy Institute (LPI) holds a critical position responsible for managing the financial affairs of the organisation and ensuring fiscal integrity. The Treasurer oversees budgeting, financial planning, and expenditure tracking to support the effective operation and sustainability of LPI's activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Develop and maintain LPI's financial policies, procedures, and systems to ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance with LUU's guidelines. Manage the organisation's financial resources prudently to support its mission and objectives.
- Budget Development: Collaborate with the executive board to develop annual budgets that align with LPI's strategic priorities and operational needs.
- Expense Management: Oversee the disbursement of funds for approved expenses. Review and approve payment requests and reimbursements in accordance with LUU procedures.
- Cash Management: Maintain records of cash flows, balances, and transactions to facilitate effective cash management.
