Hiii! I am Tanvi Jetti and I'm doing my first year as an undergraduate in economics and finance. I am an international student from India and I first learned about Women in Leadership through the Empower Conference. Here I had the amazing opportunity to meet strong women with inspiring stories who have taken upon so much and have accomplished even more. By being a part of the society I wish to encourage and empower young women like us to strive for leadership roles and greater dreams, by providing them the right platform and sources to discover and empower themselves. I like working with numbers and my background in economics and finance has equipped me with the necessary skills and knowledge in theory and model to help WILS manage its financial needs. I am also an enthusiastic person who enjoys working with other people, I am also eager to work with the committee members on their innovative ideas to make proper financial and budgeting decisions. I hope to learn from everyone and being a treasurer, I wish to direct my passion for finance toward empowering women to leadership. In my high school, I helped my school raise money for a local charity where I was in charge of handling the accounts and finances of the event, I believe the experience and skills I have acquired there, make me suitable to be WILS's treasurer.

In brief, my goals as a treasurer are:
- To keep a track of the expenditure. I will liaise with each exec member and formulate estimates of event costs in advance, maintaining future projections for society's finances.
-To ensure sensible and accountable management of society's finances, ensuring that funds are available for the fantastic events put on by the society.
-To have transparent budgeting. The income and expenditure of the society will be published regularly, keeping the members informed about where the money in being spent, keeping the process transperent.
-Quick and easy resolution of financial matters is an important role of the treasurer. Thus, as a treasurer I will do my utmost to ensure payments are made quickly and efficiently.
-To work closely with the committee members to help run our events and identify potential sources of endorsements and sponsorships by building strong networks.
-To expand our network to other fields of work to increase our reach for more sponsorships and funding.
