Dear Members of the University Boxing Society,
I am excited to announce my candidacy for the role of Captain of our Boxing Society. I started boxing three years ago, during which I have participated in three bouts, accumulating valuable experience with each bout. With a record of 2 wins and 1 loss, with the loss coming in the semi-final of BUCS. I am developing both my skills and my understanding of the sport's dynamics within the University of Leeds Boxing Team.
One of the aspects I cherish most about the boxing society is the camaraderie and team spirit that was on display at events like BUCS and Varsity. Despite not being able to compete in the last Varsity match, I remained deeply involved, supporting my team-mates and assisting in their preparations.
As a candidate for the Captaincy, I bring to the table a blend of leadership, effective communication, and organisational skill. I am committed to using these skills to not only lead our team to success but also to create an inclusive and supportive environment where every member can thrive. Whether it's coordinating training sessions, planning for competitions, or fostering a sense of unity among our members, I am dedicated to serving our society with passion and integrity.
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to potentially lead our Boxing Society forward, and I am eager to contribute to its growth and success. With your support, I am confident that together, we can achieve great things both in and out of the ring.

After such a competitive year I want to keep the momentum going. As both a coach and a competitor, recently achieving gold at BUCS, I believe I have the experience to train current and new members and expand our fight team. I want to do this to have bigger varsity events and inter clubs to showcase everyone’s talents.

Although we all love mischief I want to have a range of socials, including joint events with other society’s to increase our presence. I’m also committed to improving the organisation of the club, making sure everyone gets sparring and the time they need.

We saw at varsity how much people put into and love this society and through my leadership I really want it to grow. If you have any ideas for events or socials, please share - I can’t wait to see what we achieve!
