Hello friends, family, or as otherwise referred to…fellow members of IHP society. You may recognise my name from my vastly growing online presence, but if not, I would like to present a few reasons why you may be inclined to (the decision is entirely yours) elect me as your president. For starters, as a non-course-member, IHP society has welcomed me with open arms, therefore my role as president would be dedicated to repaying the kindness of the society I have grown to love so dearly. I can guarantee each and every one of you loyalty, commitment, and unwavering attentiveness and support. My subject knowledge beyond the course will be key to expanding my understanding of your own experiences, not so dissimilar due to both being humanity, essay-based courses. Thus, I will bring a unique perspective (yet also grounded in the foundations of this course due to my close friendships with course members) when providing any academic advice to those who may so require it. I pledge my vow to support the wellbeing of each member and the overall advancement of this society. If I may ask anything of you… it is this: Vote for Change. Vote Alyssa. Vote to be IHFree. 🗳️

Dearest IHDivas and IHDiva adjacent,

I am honoured to run for the role of President of this esteemed society.

I genuinely believe I would be a class fit for this role:
- I have committee experience as IHPSoc Social Sec, in which I have run a vast amount of banging socials throughout the year
- I am a political enthusiast, as evident by my political podcast with my coursemate Charles and previous sidequests with Leeds Student Radio's Politics Hour
- I actually do IHP. Not only do I do the course but I also turn up to my seminars (sometimes) and occasionally get decent grades! So not only would I be a great fit to run the society socially but I am also a strong representative for the course.

I have lots of ideas to ensure this society remains as great as it already is, with my core focus as president being:
- Inclusivity: introducing sober socials and having more opportunities for students to have their voices heard
- More academic opportunities: hosting academic talks, CV sessions and advertising post-course opportunities
- Working with other societies: more collabs because they are great fun!
