Hi! My names Izzy, and I’m a first year student from the Scottish Borders. Moving to England has been a big change for me, but getting to meet people in my course through the pee society really helped me settle in! Seeing the friendships formed has really inspired me to help continue the society growth into next year, hence why Im applying for treasurer! For PPE soc to keep growing a huge part of this is funding, and ensuring we can support a wide range of new activities like trips, socials, and events. Making sure the financial side of the society is accounted for will enable everyone to have the best experience possible! Seeing the reformation of the society this year has really highlighted its importance for new students, especially when settling into their course. Ensuring we can finance bigger and better events for next year is something I’m passionate and excited about! So, if you’re looking for a finance bro, but without the trust fund, vote for me!

All the best discussions of philosophy, politics and economics begin and end in the pub. We are seeking to create a more engaged society with a wider variety of events, both social and academic. Including the invitation of speakers and options for non-drinkers. We will establish a regular weekly schedule for these under the careful management of the (hopeful) new leadership.
