Hi! I’m Nessa, a first-year PPE student and I’d love to support the PPE society in the position of secretary.

I love a good social, and have found them the best part of being a PPE soc member. As well as being a way to meet lovely people and have some fun, it’s also been a super useful way of sharing tips about the course and opportunities. I'd love to be a part of keeping that network alive next year!

If elected, I will prioritise clear and effective communication, making sure that all members are informed and engaged in our activities.
I’m a competent, reliable and friendly person with experience in events planning and communications as head of student leadership at my college. I’d love to use my experience to ensure that everyone gets the most out of the society!

Hi! My name is Lucy and I am a first year student from Brighton. Having a course-specific society is so important for making friends and settling in. Having witnessed the recreation of this society, I am keen to ensure that it continues strongly into the new academic year, ensuring we can welcome new first years with open arms! In order to do this, I would love to have more frequent and exciting social events. One idea I have is going to Chance and Counters, the board game cafe in town. I am also keen to propose a PPE society trip. This could be abroad or in the UK - maybe a tour around Parliament if anyone fancies! Furthermore, it is important to make connections with each other, but also with the industries we want to work in. This is why I would look into bringing back talks from people in the industry to help us gain advice and experience. I pride myself in being extremely organised and passionate. I would be an excellent secretary! My aim is to make PPE society something we can be proud of!

All the best discussions of philosophy, politics and economics begin and end in the pub. We are seeking to create a more engaged society with a wider variety of events, both social and academic. Including the invitation of speakers and options for non-drinkers. We will establish a regular weekly schedule for these under the careful management of the (hopeful) new leadership.Vote Nate (and Gabe)!
