Hi everyone, I’m Aamina, a current 1st year medical student and I am excited to apply for the position of Pre-Clinical Rep within Cardiosoc, focusing on delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned events for second-year medical students.

​​As a committed member of CardioSoc over the past two years, I have actively engaged with the society’s academic and professional initiatives, by attending the echocardiogram workshops and Women in Cardiology talks. These experiences have deepened my interest in cardiovascular medicine and have provided me with insight into the educational needs and interests of this speciality. I am keen to serve on this committee, where I hope to contribute meaningfully to the society by ensuring that future events remain intellectually enriching, inclusive in nature, and closely aligned with the evolving academic and clinical objectives of the second-year medical curriculum.

I bring a combination of organisational skills and academic dedication through working a part-time job alongside my studies. Which has allowed me to be confident in communication that will allow me to create a supportive academic environment for my peers. I believe these qualities position me well to contribute meaningfully to the society’s mission and to enhance its educational offerings by interacting with fellow committee members.

Hi! I’m Freya, I’m a first year med student and I am running to be the pre-clinical rep. Going through 1 st year helped me to develop my passion for cardiology and I’d love to explore this further by being part of the Cardiosoc committee!
As a member of the Cardiosoc committee, I would be eager to collaborate with doctors and surgeons to inspire a greater number of individuals to pursue careers in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery. Engaging with a variety of educational workshops and mentorship programs, I hope to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application, making cardiology an accessible and exciting field for all aspiring medical professionals. If elected as the pre-clinical representative, I aim to focus on organising more events specifically designed to assist pre-clinical students with their revision. Additionally, I plan to arrange more fundraising events to support charities that are dedicated to funding research and aiding patients dealing with cardiovascular diseases.
