Hi everyone! I have been playing for the women's second team for the past two years and decided to run for captain for next year. Please check out my poster and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!

Hi! My name is Nilu and I'm running again for the Women's 2nd team captain. I was previously the W2 captain for 2021/22. I'm originally from Canada but I am going into my third year of law here at the uni! I have been playing the outside position in volleyball since I was 12 years old or so. I had a lot of fun getting to know all the girls on my team, and new people in the society.

My responsibilities included taking care of the kits, arranging transport to and from away games, and filling out the paperwork + BUCS app forms. This position has helped me develop and better my organisational and time management skills, my volleyball playing, and overall confidence in leading.

Along with those skills, a team captain should be flexible, friendly, and have good communication with their team and others around them, which are the qualities that I have. I also feel that positive reinforcement is really important during games and is the best approach toward communicating with your team. All these aspects combined along with my previous experience is why I would make a good fit for captain.

It would be an honour to be apart of the Volleyball Committee again.
