Hey! I’m Malca and I'm hoping to be your next volleyball social secretary. I’ve been a member of the society since September and have enjoyed attending the socials throughout the year. I first got into volleyball last summer, playing on the beach in Spain with a big group of friends, and found it to be fun and inclusive. I really enjoy the social side of it and think I would be a welcoming social rep for all members.

As social secretary, I would like to continue weekly socials, with a mixture of drinking and non-drinking options to allow everyone to feel included. I would also like to bring back Wednesday socials – which will be a good opportunity to develop links with other sport societies, following the tradition of Sport Wednesday socials. This could include joint Otley runs, themed nights out, and fun competitions with other societies. This would be a fun way to strengthen the dynamic in our society and make some great memories together!

hi! I'm Len (Elena), I am a second year history student and very much new to volleyball but have great enthusiasm for the sport and the society. I have thoroughly enjoyed first year in volleyball, especially the social side as it had allowed me to meet amazing and welcoming people. I want to reciprocate this next year and foster a friendly, upbeat side to volleyball, especially for those who are new to the sport.
I will provide weekly drinking/non-drinking social which includes various activities and ensure to listen to members about new or popular social ideas.
Not only this but I will be regularly present in volleyball activities, such as training or watching games, to allow people to get to know me and expand the volleyball society.
