This is my application for the role of president of the linguistics society! Through my experience as head student during sixth form, I have developed strong leadership and public speaking skills. I regularly represented the student body and communicated confidently with both peers and staff. This role also required me to organise meetings, coordinate initiatives, and delegate responsibilities effectively, ensuring that projects were delivered collaboratively and efficiently. Alongside this, my part-time work has strengthened my time management, reliability, and ability to balance multiple commitments. I am confident that these skills, combined with my enthusiasm for linguistics, would enable me to contribute positively to the society and support its continued growth :)
