I am excited to put myself forward for President of EWB Leeds. This year I was the Secretary, being at the heart of the society - organising, supporting, and communicating with the committee every step of the way. Helping EWB Leeds build up from an idea to a reality, my experience has not only been enjoyable, but also has deepened my passion for what EWB stands for!

As President, I have a vision of where EWB Leeds can be taken:

The beautiful thing about our society is that it is a home for all engineers from all disciplines, and I want to build on that. I will make sure EWB continues to be an inclusive space for all engineers, a place where creative minds can collaborate and come together, a society that is truly ours!

Furthermore, we need more events that matter. Guest lectures, industry talks, and networking events. I will ensure our calendar is a reflection of what a society like ours can offer. Tapping into the Leeds Alumni network and inviting them to engage and speak to us, I want to create a bridge between the university and the working world, ensuring EWB Leeds can access guidance, mentorship, and advice beyond the lecture theatre.

Another priority is competitions that engage and help engineers apply their skills. I will launch internal competitions that help inspire members and ensure what they learn in their courses can be put to use. Not only that, but I want EWB Leeds to be a part of more external competitions: hackathons, CADathons, and other design challenges so we can have the opportunity to represent the University of Leeds on a bigger stage.

I will make sure to expend our platform, reach, and resources - EWB Leeds has a lot of potential and I know I can help us grow more and more!
