I'm Noah, and I'm running to be Co-President of the Leeds University Green Party Society!

I have been working within the Society for the past year as Social Secretary, and have experience working within the committee. Alongside this, I have been working as the Co-Secretary of the Leeds Green Party, which has given me key skills and experience in this area. I regularly help with different local campaigns and maintain a close relationship with the local candidates.

On a personal note, I am a dedicated Eco-Socialist who's been in the Green Party for over a year and a half. I have a passion for Leeds itself as a proud Yorkshireman and want to add this passion to help the society grow.

Hello! My name is Amber, and I am running to be co-president of Leeds Green Society 26/27!

I joined the Green Party in 2023 as it was the only major political party that recognised the links between environmental and social justice, and reading the manifesto gave me genuine hope for the future.

Since early 2025, I have been an active campaigner for Leeds Green Party – through leafleting to litter picking, attending marches, and occasionally dabbling in door knocking, I have met many inspiring and, in general, cool people. In the same year, I also attended the Young Greens summer conference in Cardiff and spent my birthday weekend in Bournemouth for the National Conference, so politics has become a pretty big part of my life! Getting involved in politics on a local level has been really rewarding and has increased my love for Leeds, and one of my main focuses for the society next year will be encouraging more young people to give it a go and make sure there is more youth political representation.

If I am elected as president, I hope to continue with the great work that has been done this year. This will include organising a wider variety of socials and events – drinking and sober – and more collabs with like-minded societies. There will also be more opportunities for campaigning around the city with a social afterwards, with a goal of exploring the variety of cafes and social venues around the city. I would also like to build up more connections with other Yorkshire Green societies and groups and ensure that we are an active voice in the community, emphasising the core Green Party message of 'hope over hate'.

Being treasurer this year has been amazing, in particular, seeing the society expand and flourish (shout out Zack Polanski for the green surge) and meeting so many great people. Let's continue the great work and get more greens elected! #LeedsBleedsGreen!
