Hello! My name is Cara Goodridge
I have had an amazing time the past year as a member of VF and would love the chance to be on committee. I’m still a beginners in my classes but I can’t wait to really throw myself into things next year and hopefully climb the ranks a little- I hope I can be an example that the society is super accessible for beginners and that progress is personal!
I would really love to make the society a place where members can contribute their ideas on what classes, workshops, or social events they want and how the society is run. I would personally love to do more dance-style workshops such as cabaret or vogueing classes so I hope I can put on a few of these if I get elected! I really hope we can push the society’s publicity on social media so we can show off our amazing members and society as much as possible- because you all deserve it!
I have previous experience on the committee of another society so I know the inner workings of society admin well already so will be able to take to this role pretty quickly! I’m also basically the mum friend of any group I’m in so I would love to be the person people in the society can go to for any questions they may need answering and I hope my emails are as fun and friendly as they have been this year!
