I have nominated myself for the role of treasurer because I believe I have the core qualities required to perform this role at a high standard. Firstly, having been a treasurer for this society last year I feel as though I have gained a lot of experience and understanding of the intricacies of the role. I was also committed to the society as I was involved in most events held throughout the year, my favourite being the trade fair that we held for the whole dental school. Furthermore, I have always had an interest in finances and problem solving; having picked both maths and economics for my A-levels I believe there is no problem I can’t overcome. There were many exciting events planned last year that unfortunately did not come to fruition due to time constraints and given the opportunity I would love the chance to be able to organise and bring these events to the members of LOMSS.
