I would love the chance to be Welfare Officer next year and to have the opportunity to continue to create the friendly and welcoming environment that this year's committee fostered so wonderfully. I would put on a range of sober socials to get to know all the new faces that I'm excited to meet next year! I would always only be an email/text away to offer support as the year progresses.

The role of Welfare Secretary requires approachability, accountability and compassion. I have loved my time at Leeds so far and the Natural Sciences community has been a huge contributor to that. University can be a difficult time, with lots of change and need for adjustment. As Welfare secretary for the Natural Sciences society, I would look to make these transitions as smooth as possible for new members whilst also offering a kind ear to established ones.

I’d love the opportunity to be the welfare officer this year, as I’d like to make sure that the society stays as welcoming and friendly as I have experienced it to be. I’d make sure to organise plenty of sober activities throughout the year, and I am a good listener, so I’d be happy to listen and offer advice to those that need it :)
