Let's MAXimise Lippy!!

Hi there Lippy gang, I'm Max and I would love your vote to be the Deputy Editor for Lippy next year. I vow to shake things up and guarantee that I will maximise Lippy's meetings, the online and the range of articles in the print. I will be a fourth year student coming back from a placement to Leeds this year and I am so excited to get stuck in again!

As my poster states (please forgive me for not being a graphic designer my skills lie elsewhere I promise), I want to focus on making Lippy a place where we write more and learn together:

1. I will maximise Lippy meetings by introducing 'workshop' sessions. Here Lippy members will be given a chance to present their writing and their unique styles to each other. Lippy meetings can become more interactive in this way, we can get to know each other, whilst consistently honing our skills and writing during Lippy sessions.

2. I will maximise the online through these workshops. After and before each workshop I will encourage Lippy members to write more. This naturally will produce far more content for the online. This will ensure Lippy has a bigger and more impactful voice across Leeds, so that our off-centre journalism can be heard across campus and even across universities!

3. I will maximise the print. I have experience in producing 2 prints when I was on committee, the Rage and Roots editions (pretty impressive editions if I say so myself). I wrote for these prints and also have written for 2 more prints in my time at Lippy. I would ensure that a diverse and unique range of articles is continued to be selected for Lippy print edition by listening to what members of Lippy want to see represented.
