The President, or what we call the Editor-in-Chief, co ordinates all elements of Lippy Mag. From leading meetings to directing the production of Lippy’s biannual print issues, the responsibilities of the role are varied and all-encompassing. These include:
- Appointing and overseeing a diverse team of student writers, designers, and editors. Subeditor and Regular Reviewers will be your responsibility to appoint.
-Running our Freshers Fair stall
- Organising and leading GIAGs, events, socials and weekly writers’ meetings.
- Maintaining Lippy’s aesthetic across all digital / print platforms.
-Dealing with PR opportunities and email enquiries.
-Selecting, proofreading and editing articles for both online and the print.
-Connecting professionally with other student publications. This also means attending LUU meetings to represent Lippy within the Union.
You are generally in charge of the whole magazine and must fuel it creatively, artistically and structurally, making sure the magazine is accessible and inclusive platform for all.
