My name is Ruby Richardson, and I would love to be Lippy's Marketing Assistant. As a loud and expressive person, when I’m passionate about something, I want everyone to know about it. Having been actively involved with Lippy for a year, as a member and subeditor, the immense creativity and kindness of the community has fulled me to apply. In addition to living on Instagram reels and having an unhealthy awareness of trends, I have experience in regularly posting on social media to promote three radio shows I've been a co-host for. I have a true passion for assistance and promotion, evidenced by my time as a Bernardos ‘Voice and Influence’ council member, where I’d aid in advertising mental health services to large groups and conferences to a range of ages and communities. I value the feeling of accomplishment that comes with being a subeditor for Lippy’s Leeds submissions, regularly seeing articles grow from their drafts to being online or in print. My name is Mimi and i am a second year English Literature student with an additional, professional interest in Public Relations and Marketing. I strongly believe that i could fulfil the role of Marketing Assistant for Lippy successfully. My aim would be to create a positive, appealing and relevant environment within the sphere of all things social media and communication. Having worked for a Beauty and Pharamceutical PR agency for over 2 and a half years alongside uni, i feel that i have skills that i would love to bring to a community that i am passionate about. I have written social media captions, been aware of how to locate relevant trends, written media and product pitches and many more key elements that i could certainly transfer and adapt into this role. I chose to apply for this role over head of marketing, because i only started writing for Lippy this year. I feel that there are lots of passionate, talented members who i would love to work alongside who may have an even better understanding of what marketing projects will be best suited to Lippy. Having followed the social media from the start, this is what brought an appeal to me to get involved. I have used Canva and Adobe sparingly, which is another reason that i would love to learn, and work alongside someone who may perhaps me more experienced in this sphere. My interests lie in continuing the creative, encouraging and appealing image created by Lippy's social media, whilst trying to introduce even more interactive ways to present images to an even wider audience.
