As a committed student at the University of Leeds with a strong track record of leadership and engagement in various university societies, I am eager to apply for the role of Culture Representative on the Activities Executive Committee. My experiences as an Academic and Industrial Representative for the Women in Leadership Society, PASS Leader, and Intercultural Ambassador have provided me with a deep understanding of the importance of cultural diversity and the power of student societies in enriching our university community.

In my role with the Women in Leadership Society, I have actively fostered connections between students and industry partners, organising workshops and seminars that bridge the gap between academic learning and professional development. This experience has honed my skills in organising events, managing budgets, and collaborating with diverse teams—skills that will be invaluable in overseeing the allocation of grant funding and supporting the formation of new societies.

As an Intercultural Ambassador, I have successfully implemented intercultural projects, such as a collaborative event for over 100 Girl Scouts, demonstrating my ability to bring people together and create inclusive spaces. My role required strong communication and problem-solving abilities, which will be essential in representing the interests of cultural societies, addressing challenges, and providing constructive feedback on policy changes.

My role in the National Hindu Students Forum, where I successfully executed marketing strategies and partnered with other student organisations, demonstrated my ability to promote inclusivity and cultural engagement. Additionally, as the Treasurer of the International Business Society, I managed budgets and ensured compliance with university regulations, preparing me to oversee financial responsibilities effectively.

I am particularly excited about the opportunity to represent cultural societies at the University of Leeds, as I believe that these societies play a crucial role in promoting cultural awareness and inclusivity on campus. I am committed to ensuring that these societies have the resources and support they need to thrive, and I am eager to contribute to the development of a vibrant and diverse university community.

This year, I am excited to showcase my skills as the Events Representative for the Indian Student Association and organise events which demonstrate our rich Indian culture and heritage.

If given the opportunity, I will bring my passion for cultural engagement, my organisational experience, and my dedication to student representation to the role of Culture Representative. I am confident that my background, skills, and commitment to student societies make me an ideal candidate for this position, and I look forward to the opportunity to make a positive impact on campus.

Throughout my time at university, I have been deeply involved in promoting cultural awareness and diversity. My roles as an Intercultural Ambassador and a member of the National Hindu Students Forum (NHSF) Leeds have provided me with a strong foundation for organizing and participating in events that celebrate our diverse backgrounds. These experiences have fueled my passion for cultural exchange and inspired me to take on a more active role in ensuring that our community continues to thrive.
