I would like to be social secretary as I am very passionate about convervation, and want to be part of the team making it happen. I have lots of experience to help assist conservation days, and I also have lots of ideas of fun conservation related things that we could run inbetween.

Hi - I'm Sophie! I'm currently a second year studying English and Film. I would like to apply for the social sec role as I am rather creative when it comes to activities. There is so much fun to be had in learning about our environment. This is in both education and exploring! I'll be sure to make the social side of LUUCV exciting, and also a relaxing, recreational space outside of our studies and commitments. I hope to make it onto the committee and look forward to meeting the new team for the next academic year!

I am a wildlife lover - I specifically love birds, and my favourite is the osprey! I would be sure to let everyone know about our university peregrines! I would absolutely love to bring more birdwatching to next year as there is so much wildlife in this city; something that many UK universities unfortunately don't have. There are plenty of walks around Woodhouse and Headingly to spot Red Kites and Buzzards. I'd love to do some of these and do cafe stops for chatting! I would also be comfortable to host socials at my house, if people were keen on doing drinking socials / non drinking socials. I have some fun themed ideas for these!

I'd like to say I'm organised and reliable. If this is any consolation, my personality type is mediator, so I guess that means I am committed to helping others and ensuring people are comfortable and happy.
