Hi I'm Alysha! I am a third year zoology student who will be going into my masters year. I only joined the society this year, as I was too nervous previous years, and I am so glad I did- the classes are so fun and challenging and everyone is so welcoming. Therefore I am excited for the opportunity to be part of the comittee of this amazing society, and aid in making decisions to make VF as great as possible next year for you guys ! I believe I would be great for this role because I am super orgainised and I am very good with money, I am therefore also good at spending it ! (meaning that I'll try my hardest to make sure the money that comes from memberships etc is put to good use and everyone sees the benefit). I am very good at time management, as I am already able to balance a job with my uni work well, so I will ensure I dedicate a large amount of my time to being treasurer of VF. I enjoy organising things such as information and data which is a bit sad I know, BUT I believe it will come in useful for the role in terms of keeping track of where our money is being spent. I enjoy working as a team, and value others opnions so will ensure that I consult others in big decisions as to what will be best for the society, so we spend our money wisely 🙂
I would love this role as I have enjoyed being a part of VF this year so much that being able to make decisions to ensure anyone who was as nervous as I was to join has the most amazing time! As well as ensuring to all the current members that we have another great year of vertical fitness ! Can't wait to see you all next year ! (hopefully as your treasurer😁)
