Hi everyone! I’m Chloe and I would love to be your General Sec for the 2026/27 academic year!

As General Secretary, I aim to make the connection between students and the legal profession more accessible and as unintimidating as possible!

Admin may seem boring but it keeps the society running! As a Type A girl, organisation and planning runs in my blood. I was Head Girl in my final year at school and worked an admin job during my gap year so “coordinating” and “liaising” are words I am super familiar with!

If elected, I will:
⭐️Keep the society organised and well-informed by providing regular and clear updates
⭐️Announce events, deadlines and workshops well ahead of time — nothing last minute!
⭐️Create a shared calendar so you can see everything laid out visually!

LawSoc needs a General Secretary who is organised, dependable, and committed to ensuring the society runs smoothly. That’s what I offer.

I’m a second-year LLB Law student and currently serve on the LawSoc Debating Subcommittee, helping organise and adjudicate competitions, including the Northern Intervarsity Debate. This has given me practical experience coordinating events and working with teams to ensure successful delivery.

Alongside my studies, I volunteer with the Welfare Rights Project, supporting casework in immigration, housing and welfare, and work in the VIP lounge at Eurotunnel Le Shuttle. Both roles require organisation, professionalism, and attention to detail, the same qualities needed for an effective General Secretary. As well as this, I play for Lawsoc Men’s Football and University of Leeds Men’s Football in my spare time

If elected, I will focus on:

• Clear communication between the committee and members

• Reliable organisation of meetings and records so the society runs efficiently

• Better promotion of opportunities and events

LawSoc works best when things are organised properly behind the scenes. That’s the approach I will bring to the role.
