I would love to be secretary of the society for a plethora of reasons – As a first year, the society has welcomed me (and I’m sure many others) well and answered all the questions I had, and I would like to take some of the responsibility of carrying this on and providing future players with the same social experience. I believe the role of secretary is ideal for me – as a Film, Photography and Media student, I look forward to the social media side of the role, and I believe my knowledge of this area can help provide consistent exposure to the society, as well as making people aware of the results the society achieves in tournaments. I believe that my punctuality suits the role and can help maintain the smooth organisation of the society sessions and other elements. I aim to keep good relationship with both members of the society and the other people necessary in this role, and I am willing (and looking forward) to working with the other committee members to improve and then maintain the society.

Having spent over a year within the Pool and Snooker society at this point, attending every weekly session this year on time and also attending a majority of the tournaments since September, I am in a very strong position to work alongside other committee members to ensure that the society runs smoothly going into the next academic year. I get along well with all members of the society, whether they are newly attending or have been around for years, and am very well organised. Therefore, I am an excellent candidate to help run the weekly sessions and ensure that all members of the society, whether new or old, can continue to enjoy their weekly dose of cue sports.
