Heya Lublies! My name is Angela, currently in my 2nd year studying International Business.

As your VP for design and merchandise, I will strive to create engaging and memorable designs that can leave good impressions on every viewer by collaborating with different voices and inspirations. By working closely with other VPs and members, I will make the society’s feed more lively, interesting, and cohesive. The society brochures, flyers, and banners could also get a revamped look that can add more value to the society’s appearance and attract even more potential members. I am a firm believer in aesthetics because it helps increase brand recognition and identity. My job will also ensure that the LUBS Society will be easily distinguished and remembered through the content it puts out. Seriously, who ever said “professional” can’t be fun?

My primary design experience lies in merchandise, social media content, documents, and power points using either Canva, Photoshop, or Procreate. I co-designed the first WILS Inclusion Journal (2023), made merchandise two different times, designed Instagram posts and stories for the Indonesian Student Society in Manchester, and drafted logos for the Women in Leadership Inclusion Subcommittee. Besides those experiences, I have enjoyed drawing and designing as a hobby since I was in kindergarten, and my skills have only developed since then. Hi! I’m Ellie and I am running for Vice President of Design and Merchandising. As a Business Management with Marketing student, I have the skills and creative flare required to produce fun, engaging and eye-catching social media content which I hope you will love! I have lots of experience using Canva, Procreate and Wix which will allow me to create aesthetically-pleasing content. I am a fun, social and bubbly person and I hope to reflect my personality through the content which I will create. Through collaborating with other committee members, I wish to continue creating high-quality social media content which aligns with the LUBS branding and implement this across the website too. I believe that the website can be improved to be more engaging and to attract new potential sponsors, allowing the LUBS community to expand which will benefit all society members.
