Hello there. I'm Ben, a first-year maths student and founding President of Blood on the Clocktower Society. It's made me so happy to have been able to introduce an amazing game to so many great people! As a member of many of the General Interest Societies, I can't wait to support all of them in *bringing their wonderful hobbies to the community!*

During my time as founding President, I've developed my skillset of communication, time management, and planning events. This includes working in groups, often in collaboration with other General Interest Society Committees on collaborative events, which will give me a good basis to work with even more committees next year. In addition, I've gained deeper knowledge and experience of how LUU operates in relation to societies.

If elected, my main aims for next year are:
- Continue running multi-society events (e.g. Geek Night) and try introducing new multi-society events
- Improve communication between GI societies and LUU, representing society interests
- Be a friendly face for everyone in the GI societies and a first port of call for them

At University I have been blessed to be able to maintain a healthy work-life balance that is supplemented through the many General Interest Societies at LUU. It has led me to meet many lifetime friends and those who I hold close to me, no matter what the common interest or passion is, you will probably find those just like you.

Through my 2 years at the University of Leeds I have been actively involved in many of these societies and personally have served as the Secretary of Nintendo and Pokemon Society which has led to greater involvement in other General Interest Societies. As General Interest Rep I wish to continue to contribute to creating such an amazing environment that has been cultivated with the General Interest societies, I plan to do this in many ways:

Organising multi-society events and running of charity events.
Regular involvement and feedback to and from General Interest societies and the LUU Activities team.
Ensuring all societies have proper funding when needed and equipment necessary to functionally run.

Through my tenure at Nintendo and Pokemon Society I have learned skills in planning, working alongside others (through my fellow committee members and other societies committees) and leadership. I hope to apply all of these skills to serve as an outstanding General Interest Rep with the opportunity to develop many of my skills further whilst working with all of your societies.
