Helloo guys!
I'm Harry, a final year student of Chinese and Japanese, running for president/vice-president. I love running, reading, and coffee :)
Having co-run Coffee Society last year as Treasurer, I am comfortable in committee roles and hosting events. I am to keep dodgeball as the casual, fun society that I joined this year and enter local tournaments later in the year for the more competitive of us.
Dodgeball is a great society for everyone and I hope to maintain the high standard set by the previous committee :)

Hi all!

I'm Rowan and am running for the roles of President / Vice President for the University of Leeds Dodgeball Society!

I'm an Accounting & Finance student currently on a year long placement at Mercedes-Benz. You may not have seen my face around this year for this reason, but I am very much looking forward to meeting you all in September! (If you'd like to know a bit more about me check out my poster).

My aims:
From September I am looking to continue our weekly Saturday training sessions as well as running a few give it a go sessions to encourage our community to grow. For those interested, I would also like to re-enter various competitions including regional leagues and university leagues - it's a great experience and atmosphere at these events so it would be great to get involved again. In addition to this, I'm keen to get a kit order in once the new year begins. Whether you're a casual dodger or looking for something more competitive, it would be great to kit us out in Gryphon green. Finally the point of the society is to have a bit of fun and a laugh, so with the support of the whole committee, I'd also love to get a variety of socials and inter-society events organised throughout the year!

Why should you elect me for president?
Many of you wouldn't have met me whilst I've been away for the year, but I can't wait to meet all the new people who share my love for the sport! I've been an active member of the society since I joined the University of Leeds back in 2021, therefore I've been to enough training, tournaments and socials to understand the society structure and the responsibilities required of the committee. Therefore, I believe I would know best on how to support others within the committee and the wider society. Dodgesoc is something I have a genuine passion for so why wouldn't I want to lead it through another successful year?!
